Victor Moses, Yaya Toure and Victor Wanyama are the three players on the shortlist for the Premier League African Player of the Month Award for January.
In a month where a good number of African players left their clubs to take part in the just concluded 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, Moses, Wanyama and Toure stood out with impressive performances for their respective title chasing clubs.
Nigerian winger Moses, who has made the shortlist on 5 occasions winning the award twice, has continued his revival on the right wing-back position as Antonio Conte’s men look to seal the title in record time.
Victor Wanyama, meanwhile, has been a rock in the middleof the park for Tottenham, guiding them to second on the log as they maintain their status as the most compactly built side in the division.
The power-playing Kenyan international is undoubtedly oneof the signings of the season in the Premier League.
Yaya Toure’s return to form has been a stabilising factor for Pep Guardiola’s side who now sit third on the log after amid-season decline.
The four-time African footballer of the year has also been among the goals as the Etihad outfit keep their slim title hopes alive.
