Peter Osaze Odemwingie’s intermediary, Vladimir Deineka, has revealed that the Nigerian international has turned down an opportunity to return to the Russian Premier League because he wants to obtain a British Passport, reports allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Lokomotiv Moscow star had been negotiating a deal with an unnamed Premier League club, but has yet to agree terms.
“Peter Odemwingie remains in England. The desire to return to the Premier League really was. Negotiations with the Russian club were already at the final stage, but we have not agreed on the terms.
“Peter need to get an English passport, so until the summer would still have had to remain in England.”
