Despite struggling to replicate their last season performance which saw the team book a continental ticket to represent Nigeria this season, IfeanyiUbah will be aiming at claiming a vital three points against league leaders, Plateau United in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium.
The Nnewi Boys have won one, lost three and drawn one of their last five league matches compared to a Plateau side that has dominated the league since the onset, winning three, losing one and drawing one of their last five matches.
IfeanyiUba knows that a win will be crucial for them in a bid to move away from the relegation drop while Plateau United will seek to consolidate on their leadership on the table.
Meanwhile, second place, El Kanemi Warriors is set to host Nasarawa United at the El-Kanemi Stadium on Sunday while Shooting Stars welcome Remo Stars in a battle of the stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Saturday.
In the other fixtures, Lobi Star will tackle Emyimba FC as Sunshine Stars will face Rivers United on Sunday. Kano Pillars lock horns with Katsina United Wikki Tourist will visit ABS.
