NFF, S’Eagles Technical Crew Must Watch Indomitable Lions Closely – Sokari

By Augustine Akhilomen

CS Sfaxien midfielder, Kingsley Sokari has advised the Nigeria Football Federation and the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr to keep a close tab on the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon before the August 28, World Cup qualifier in Uyo.

Cameroon were crowned champions of Africa for the fifth time after defeating Egypt 2-1 in Sunday’s final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and will represent the continent at the 2017 Confederation Cup in Russia.

The Super Eagles are top of group B in the 2018 World Cup qualifier with six points after two matches against the Indomitable Lions’ two points and both teams will be poise to picking the maximum point in a bid to better their chances of sealing the sole ticket for the mundial.

However, the former Enyimba midfielder disclosed to Soccernet.com.ng from his base in Tunisia on Monday afternoon that if the NFF and the Super Eagles fail to put certain things in place, the Indomitable Lions would be a tough knots to crack.

“I definitely don’t think the Super Eagles will have it too easy against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon going by their victorious performance at the Africa Cup of Nations where the team was crowned champions after beating Egypt,” Sokari told Soccernet.com.ng exclusively.

“Perhaps, if we had met them last year I am sure they would have fell like a pack of cards. However, with the way things are, Cameroon being the African champs will further spur them against Nigeria.

“If the Nigeria Football Federation and the Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr works hand in hand in terms of preparation and players invitation to camp, I don’t see Cameroon escaping defeating in Uyo,” he said.
