Enugu Rangers Will Down Zamalek – Amapakabo

By Augustine Akhilomen

Enugu Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo has reiterated that his team will overcome Zamalek of Egypt and qualify for the money spinning of the CAF Champions League.

The Enugu based team edged out JS Saoura of Algeria on the away goal rule after the first leg ended 1-1 in Algiers before playing a goalless draw in Enugu.

Amapakabo knows the Flying Antelopes faces a difficult test against a Zamalek side that have won the CAF Champions League five times and told Soccernet.com.ng that his team must utilise their goal scoring chances against them if they are to qualify to the next round.

“I am so delighted that we have overcome JS Saoura of Algeria to qualify to the round of 32 even though we failed to score at home. However, I feel so disturbed that our strikers didn’t convert the numerous goal scoring chances that came their ways,” Amapakabo told Soccernet.com.ng.

“Such kind of mistakes won’t be forgiven against a side like Zamalek who are always hungry for goals. I have the confidence that Rangers will defeat Zamalek regardless of their past records but then, we will need to work on our attack,” he said.
