Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Genort Rohr is not resting on his oars in finding capable legs to feel the noticeable voids in the Nigeria National team.
Speaking with journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, the Franco-German soccer tactician said he has been able to scout for a German-born defender that could help further toughen the back-line of the Super Eagles which many suggest is the weakest link at the moment.
Using the Leon Balogun success story, Rohr is positive that his planned addition to the Super Eagles will be good for the team in the long run.
“Aside from Tyrone, we have found a player in Germany who was playing in the Bundesliga last year but has gone down on relegation. Rohr stated.
He continued: “He is 20 years old. He told me it’s an honour for him to come to play for the country of his father, his mother is German. He is like Balogun, very quick and very good. Hopefully he will come too.
“So now, we have the time to see them play in their clubs, speak and meet with them, bring them in a good condition in order to help us for the qualification.
It is expected that the bulk of players that would execute the proposed March friendly against Senegal will be the new faces that Rohr is trying to integrate into the national team.
