Nasarawa United Football Club of Lafia has recruited Ten new players and promoted Five players from the youth team for the 2016-2017 Nigeria Professional Football League Season.
Chairman of the club Barrister Isaac Danladi stated this during a media briefing in Lafia.
According to him, the 2016-2017 league season presents another opportunity for the club to reciprocate the unwavering support and commitment of the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al makura to the club over the years.
He assured that the recruitment of the new experienced players into the team would motivate add verve to the drive towards achieving success at both the league and Federation Cup.
Barrister Danladi noted that the players are physically and mentally fit for the new season having gone through high profile pre season engagements in Kaduna and Plateau states.
Bar. Isaac who is also chairman of club owners in Nigeria maintained that all debts owed to the coaches and players have been settled and confirmed that the management team and the players have enjoyed a sustained cordial working relationship towards achieving the desired objectives.
Commenting on the club’s youth programmes, the chairman disclosed that a robust grassroots youth system has been on ground and has served as feeder to both the club and others across the country.
He therefore appealled to sport loving people of the state to be peaceful, disciplined and continue to support the Solid Miners as the season gets underway.
The seasoned sports administrator commended sports writers under the auspices of SWAN in the state for their continued collaboration and partnership even as he solicited for more.
