Godfrey Oboabona was sent off in bizarre fashion as Rizespor secured a 2-1 victory at Gaziantepspor in a Turkish Super Lig encounter on Sunday.
The Black Sea Sparrowhawk were on course for their first away victory of the season thanks to Leonard Kweuke and Marwane Saadane, but the 26-year-old two minutes of madness saw him sent off for two cautions in quick succession.
He picked up his first yellow card in the 88th minute and was bizarrely sent off two minutes later after picking up another caution whilst his side led 2-1 in the scorching encounter that produced 11 yellow cards.
The defeat was Gaziantepspor’s fifth home defeat of the season, as Rizespor celebrated their first away win of the season.
Oboabona has featured 12 times for Hikmet Karaman’s men this season – and they are remain in the relegation zone with eight points from seven games.
