Nigerian star Kayode Olarenwaju was on the scoresheet for Austria Wien as they lost 2-4 to Serie A side AS Roma in the Europa League this evening.
The 23-year-old wasted no time to announce himself when he taped in from close range to open scoring just after two minutes into the encounter.
But current Serie A topscorer and former Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko equalized after two minutes. Kayode picked up a yellow card for his troubles as he brought down a Roma player with a clumsy tackle.
However, it was the visitors that went into the break on top as Captain on the night Daniele De Rossi made it 2-1. Roma continued to dominate in the second half as Dzeko grabbed his second while Belgium international Radja Nainggolan made it four.
Alexander Gruenwald scored a late consolation for the home side but it was a little too late as Roma ran out 4-2 winners and stay top of Group E with 8 points while Wien are second with 5 points.
