ABS FC general manager Alloy Chukwuemeka has hailed the promotion of the Ilorin club back to the Nigeria premier league, saying that is where they belong.
ABS trounced Gateway 4-1 in a replay on Wednesday to finish top of Division B2 with 24 points.
“We are back in the premier league and we will be better,” celebrated Chukwuemeka.
“We play good football and we will hold our own with the best.”
The Director of football dedicated the team’s promotion to the owner of the club and Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
“We grateful to those who supported and those who did not, they should join us,” he said.
The victory ensured ABS FC will play in the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL next season after three consecutive seasons in the lower league.
