Mikel is Injured, Chelsea boss reveals

John Obi Mikel is down with a mucsle injury Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte has revealed.

This development means the much awaited 250th Premier League appearance for Nigerian midfielder will be delayed again as Conte has ruled out Mikel from the clash against Hull City.

It is not clear if this latest injury worry could ruleMikel out of the Super Eagles 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia on October 9 in Ndola.Conte at a press conference on Friday alsorevealed that club captain, John Terry, will not be available.

“John Terry is out of tomorrow’s game. Mikel is also out with a small muscular problem,” Conte told reporters on Friday.

On Chelsea’s recent bad run of form which has seen them lose two straight games to Liverpool and Arsenal, Conte said they are doing everything possible to turn things around.

“It is never good when you lose two games. But in these two games I saw a lot of important things to work on,” the ex-Italy manager added.

“With great work and hard work, I and the players and the club together are trying to change the situation.

“We must think about the present now rather than think about spending money in the future.”

“We are using last season as an instrument to push us more to improve.” the Italian gaffer concluded.
