The Cable News Network (CNN) has awarded Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho’s sublime strike against Tanzania as the Goal of the Week.
Iheanacho came to the rescue of the Super Eagles as he scored the winning goal in the team’s 1-0 win over the Taifa Stars in Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The goal which went viral on the social media such as facebook and twitter was adjudged the best goal ahead of other goals that was scored during the international break.
“Congratulations to the latest CNN Goal of the Week winner, Kelechi Iheanacho!” CNN Football wrote on their official Twitter handle on Thursday.
