Europa-League: Emenike scores, Ideye, Nosa features while Moses Simon is missing.

Emmanuel Emenike scored the winner in Fenerbahce 1-0 win over Feyenoord.
Another scintillating
moment of football in Europe saw various clubs face each other in the match day
2 of the Europa League. There were other interesting matches across Europe as
games are getting hotter by the day.
As always
some Nigeria contingent were listed in action for their respective teams as
some of them made their team’s line-up on the special night of football.

these Nigerian players as their performance speaks loud than voice.
We take a
look at these Nigeria players abroad who were in action for their respective
club sides across Europe in the ongoing season.
EUROPA-LEAGUE
Emmanuel
Emenike got the only goal of the game for Fenerbahce just like Zlatan Ibrahimovic
did for Manchester United when he finished Ozan Tufan cross from the right side
of attack in the 18th minute of the game to take the Turkish side to
the top of the group.
Emenike lasted 77th minute of the
game and was replaced by former Manchester United forward Robin Van Persie. He
was booked in the 29th minute of the game as Fenerbahce defeated
visiting Dutch side Feyenoord 1-0.
Super Eagles and Olympians forward Brown Ideye
lasted the distance as his side lost 0-1 to visiting Cyprus side Apoel Nicosia.
Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun was missing in
action due to injury and was replaced in Nigeria Super Eagles Squad for the
Zambia World Cup qualifying match by Henry Uche Agbo while Karim Onisiwo was
rooted to the bench as Mainz 05 claimed a 2-3 win over FK Qabala away from
home.
Elsewhere Super
Eagles and Maccabi Tel Aviv midfield player Emmanuel Nosa Igiebor lasted 59
minutes of the game and was replaced by Dor Micha as Maccabi Tel Aviv lost 1-0
to host (Ireland giants) side Dundalk FC.
AZ Alkmaar
new signing Fred Friday lasted the distance as they lost 5-0 to host Zenith St.
Peters burg.
Nigeria and
Austria Wien talented forward Olarenwaju Kayode lasted for 85th
minute and was replaced by Kevin Friensenbichler as Austria Wien drew 0-0 with
Victoria Plzen.
Gent
defensive midfield player Onyinye Ndidi lasted the entire 90th
minute of the game as his Genk FC side defeated visiting side Sassuolo 3-1.
Standard
Liege’s Elderson Echiejile was rooted to the bench as they lost to Ajax
Amsterdam 1-0.
Gent
forward Moses Simon (Daddy Ajala) was expectedly missing in action due to
injury while Ibrahim Rabiu was on the bench for the entire duration of the game
as Anderson Esiti came on for Dieumerci Ndongala in the 71st minute
of the match in their 2-0 home win over visiting Turkish side Konyaspor FC.
Ubong Ekpai
came on for Daniel Barti in the 46th minute for Czech Republic side
Slovan Liberec as they lost 1-2 to visiting side PAOK Thessaloniki FC.
Hapoel Beer
Sheva and Nigeria duo of striker Anthony Nwakaeme and midfielder John Ogu
lasted the entire duration of the game as they drew 0-0 at home with visiting
English side Southampton.
Raheem
Lawal lasted the distance for his side Osmanlispor FK while Aminu Umar came on
for Dzon Delarge in the 67th minutes of the game and made on assist
for Adam Maher in the 73rd minute as they lost 2-1 to Swiss host FC
Zurich.
