Awoniyi Scores Hat-trick In NEC Nijimegen Friendly

Nigerian youngster, Taiwo Awonioyi scored a hat-trick for his new Dutch Eredivisie club,  NEC Nijimegen in their 5-0 bashing of FC Kleve on Thursday.

The 19-year-old striker, who joined NEC Nijimegen on a season-long loan deal last Friday from Premier League club, Liverpool proved himself few days after joining the club by scoring a hat-trick.

Awoniyi scored two goals in the first-half and added his third to complete his hat-trick in the second half. NEC Nijimegen is using the game to prepare for their next Saturday’s league fixture against champions PSV Eindhoven, and Awoniyi looks more promising to produce good form against the Dutch giants.

The Dream Team striker recently returned to Anfield after completing a loan stint from German second division side FSV Frankfurt, and immediately joined the Dutch team for the rest of the season. Nijimegen finished 10th in the Eredivisie league last season.
