2018 World Cup: Granada’s Agbo Replaces Balogun For Zambia Tie

Granada’s Uche Henry Agbo has been called upon to replace injured Leo Balogun by the Super Eagles technical adviser for the battle of Ndola between Nigeria and Zambia in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Balogun’s injury came in the ninth minute in Mainz’s 2-3 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in Saturday’s Bundesliga match and is expected to resume training in the early part of October.

Despite showing a brilliant understanding with William Troost-Ekong, the former Darmstadt 98 defender has been ruled out for the tie against Zambia.

Meanwhile, His replacement, Agbo who is on loan from Watford in the English Premier League after signing a five-year contract in the summer transfer window, will be hoping to take his chance if giving the opportunity to play. He will join the other players who are expected to start arriving at the Bolton White Hotel and Apartments, Abuja on Sunday.
