By Augustine Akhilomen
Ex international, Sam Sodje has advised the Nigeria
Football Federation to stick with Super Eagles coach, Genort Rohr even
if he fails to guide the team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Sodje made his senior national team in Nigeria's 3-0 win
over Romania in an international friendly match in Bucharest in November
2005 and went on to represent the country in subsequent matches in the
colours of the Super Eagles.
Nigeria which have been pitted alongside Algeria, Cameroon
and Zambia for the World Cup qualifiers, appointed Rohr on August in a
bid to help the team book the sole automatic ticket for the mundial
slated for Russia.
However, Sodje, during a radio sports program on Tuesday
morning in Lagos that was monitored by Soccernet.com.ng said that Rohr
shouldn't be sacked if Nigeria fail to qualify for the World Cup.
He pointed out that though Rohr has been saddled with the
responsibility of qualify Nigeria for the World Cup but that the German
tacticians should be retain regardless of what happens in the group

Nigeria will face Zambia in Lusaka on October as they begin
their qualification campaign for the World Cup before hosting Algeria
in Abuja.
