Manchester United VS Leicester City: Five things we learnt

The Community Shield which is a game between the Premier League Champions saw Manchester United face-off with Premier League dark horses and Champions Leicester City in an entertaining encounter.

The foxes have had a glorious campaign in England (English football) following their march to the title and it was a game that was meant to provide stern test for both side to ascertain if the foxes can repeat their outstanding performance of last season or will Manchester United side under Jose Mourinho show a glimpse of what they are capable of doing this season as United won 2-1 on the occasion.

On this note we highlights some significant from the Manchester United/Leicester City game in the Community Shield.

UNITED BETTER THAN LEICESTER
Manchester United’s players celebrate with the Community Shield after beating Leicester 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.
In the Community Shield match between Jose Mourinho Manchester United and Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City there are some clear evidence which are observable from the encounter.
The United side may have Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the bench but even with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial, Manchester United were threatening the Leicester City side who seems comfortable to sit back and absorb the pressure with the option of hitting United on the break (counter attack) bearing in mind the pace of English Forward Jamie Vardy.
The likes of Ibrahimovic was as well very much involved in the game spreading pass and play in the Leicester City’s half and running in to get on to the cross of Antonio Valencia who was very lively and productive in the match as United dominated most of the context.
LINGARD MAKES A CASE
Jesse Lingard (second right) slots past Leicester City goalkeeper Schmeichel to put Manchester United 1-0 up.
The English forward who have been in and out of the team and is one of the surprise package under former Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal is Jesse Lingard. The forward was once again made the difference for Manchester United side needing inspiration as he capped off a brilliant performance with a goal.
The forward who is one of the major reason the United side are in the Shield challenge after scoring a superb volley in May 2016 to seal an FA cup triumph his manager and the club (fans) what he is capable of doing on the big stage when given a chance to perform. The young lad renewed the confidence which was reposed on him following the wonderful goal against Chelsea in the 1-1 draw last season.
What a strike it was as it give United the lead on that occasion. Once again the forward proved the big deal by scoring an individual goal to the delight of all concerned Manchester United fateful who were engrossed in ecstasy as Lingard skipped past the first with a good move then going past three players before slotting home into the net to give Manchester side the lead and reminding Jose Mourinho about his ability irrespective of the new summer signing around the club.
JOSE OFF THE MARK
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, right, with Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the Community Shield.
There is always a tendency for over expectation from a manager as regards to one man Jose Mourinho who has raised/set a good (high) standard for himself as a great success or achievers at any club he manages. With Alex Ferguson retired from his 26 years successful reign at the club United have gone on the find a manager whose pedigree and status aligns to the objective and the standard built and to be maintained at Manchester United.
The club appointed David Moyes the former Everton Manager as the chosen one but the result lived little to offer for the United side as the side struggled in Europe and domestically only for the club decide to part way with Moyes and with Louis Van Gaal tenure at United no so fulfilling despite guiding United to the Champions League last term he was relieved of his duties.
With the arrival of Manager Jose Mourinho who many believe so much in his ability of winning trophies at every club he manages expectations are high with Jose securing the Community Shield, the manager is off the mark as this is a sure sign  of better things (trophy) to come at old Trafford.
AHMED MUSA STILL DANGEROUS
The Leicester City new signing threaten United defence line with so much burst of Pace.
The speedy Nigerian who moved from Russian champions CSKA Moscow have wasted no time in showing what he got in his kitty for the watchful eyes of the Premier League. The forward began last week with a brace against Barcelona in the 4-2 against the Catalan giants.
He was a real threat against a Barcelona side whose defence which is still under scrutiny following the move of injury prone center back Thomas Vermaelen to AS Roma. Musa was another kettle of fish for United as his pace was very suicidal for the former Champions who needed a late goal to overcome his side in the encounter.
Musa was introduced at the start of the second period as he replaced Shinji Okazaki in the game. His pace was tiring as he skipped past two players to set up Vardy when his pass fell to Fellaini who could not deal with Musa’s pressure as he back passed to Vardy who then round up United De Gea to level for Leicester City in the match.
IBRAHIMOVIC MASTER STROKE
Ibrahimovic rose highest at the back post to beat Kasper Schmeichel and put United 2-1 up against Leicester.

The Swedish forward produced the winner in a tight context as he was very productive in the game starting in attack alongside Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and supported with a midfield three of Rooney, Maroune Fellaini and Michael Carrick at the heart of midfield of course provided the one of the most traveled player Ibrahimovic with the chance to thrive in the central position as the Red Devil were threatening Leicester City from all cylinders.

On some occasion the forward came to the midfield to combine beautiful with his team mate as passes were exchange with great effect. United dominance paid off as a cross the right founded the center forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic who nodded into the net for the winner with few minutes in the game remaining to be played as he show a glimpse of what the has in stocks for the Old Trafford supporters and hierarchy at the club.
