Super
Eagles duo of Odion Ighalo and Isaac Success couldn’t help their team
avoid defeat as Watford lost 1-3 to Arsenal at the Vicarage Road in
Saturday’s Premier League match.
Despite netting against
Gillingham in the League Cup on Tuesday, the Nigerian international had a
difficult period on the pitch as he couldn’t find the back of the net
as the duo of Laurent Koscielny and Rob Holding held him tightly.
Goals from Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Oezil was enough to silence the home crowd in the first half. Ighalo’s only chance came in the 65th minute but his header went wide the post.
The
introduction of Isaac Success in the 77th minute for Nordin Amrabat
failed to change the complexion of the match as the Gunners won their
first EPL match this season.
