Nigeria’s Olympics football team, Dream Team VI, has finally landed in Manaus, Brazil ahead of their Group B clash against Japan in the wee hours of Friday.
The team’s Media Officer, Timi Ebikagboro, tweeted on arrival at the Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes-Manaus International Airport, Brazil.
Ebikagboro tweeted: “Touched down Manaus 2.19pm.
“Dream Team going through immigration formalities to God be the glory.
The Samson Siasia-led team arrived the venue three hours from kick off for their opening tie against Japan.
It was reliably gathered that the delay in Atlanta, United States of America was due to the inability of the Nigeria Football Federation’s inability to offset the outstanding hotel bills of the team.
It took the intervention of the Federation Government to bail them out.
