Latest on Diego Alves and Alcacer to Barcelona

Barça interested in Paco Alcacer and Diego Alves
It seems this week will be a very busy one for FC Barcelona in the transfer market. The club have been heavily linked with a double swoop for Valencia duo Diego Alves and Paco Alcacer as they look to strengthen their squad for the season.
In the past day, it was reported that goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has agreed terms to join Manchester City for a fee of around €25 million in a 4-year deal. The replacement Barça want for Bravo is Valencia veteran shot-stopper Diego Alves and according to reports, the deal to sign the Brazilian is close.
According to top Barcelona source Catalunya Radio, Diego Alves is Barça’s top priority to serve as second choice goalkeeper behind Marc Andre Ter Stegen for the new season and his transfer will be part of a Mega deal that will involve Paco Alcacer, Munir El Haddadi and Sergi Samper all moving.
As stated few days ago, Barça have chosen Paco Alcacer to become their fourth striker and the major reports over the past day state that the 22-year old goalscorer has agreed to join the club, but the deal is complicated. Valencia president Lay Hoon Chan said in public that “Alcacer is not for sale” but the latest twist suggests that the player wants to wear the red and blue of Barça and Valencia have given Barça a chance to negotiate.
This means Barça want two players from Valencia, Alcacer and Diego Alves. The deal that will see both players arrive at Camp Nou will include young players Sergi Samper and Munir El Haddadi moving the opposite direction, but not on a permanent deal.
According to reports, Barça will pay €45 million for both Diego Alves and Paco Alcacer and will include the transfer of Samper and Munir to Valencia on loan or with a buy-back option inserted in their contracts. The release clause of Paco Alcacer is €80 million but Barça will pay way less, while Diego Alves is valued at around €10 million. The deal is set to be closed before the end of this week.
