Chelsea win excites Mikel

Though Team Nigeria Captain John Obi Mikel may be far away in Rio but he sure has his heart in London where his team Chelsea were in action against West Ham United on Monday night.

Antonio Conte’s era at Stamford Bridge began with a much deserved victory as goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa sealed a 2-1 win for the Blues at home to West London rivals, West Ham United.

Mikel who was watching far way in Rio praised his teammates for their resilience that earned them the vital three points.

He tweeted, “First game of the season. London Derby. 89th minute winner. Well done boys.”

Chelsea will be playing Watford in their next league game.
