AFCON Qualifier: Nigeria To Play Tanzania In Uyo

The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed Akwa Ibom
International Stadium in Uyo as the venue for Super Eagles of Nigeria
clash against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in the 2017 Africa Cup of
Nations qualifier schedule for September 3.

Prior before this announcement, the NFF had initially opted
for Port Harcourt but moved for a change of venue for Uyo, which is
popularly known as the Nest of Champions that hosted Nigeria’s 2-2 draw
with South Africa in the 2015 AFCON qualifier in November.
The team is expected to resume camping on Sunday, August 28
with the arrival of the foreign and local players and will be drilled
by Super Eagles coach,Genort Rohr.
For the record, the match is inconsequential since Egypt
have booked the sole ticket for the group but Nigeria will be playing
for pride against Tanzania.
