Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi trained with the Dream Team V1
team as they intensify preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games which
begins in August.
The Chelsea midfielder was recently released by the London club to
join the Nigeria’s U-23 camp in Atlanta for the Summer Games. The
29-year-old midfielder was prominent in Chelsea’s pre-season first half
games, but was released by Blues manager, Antonio Conte in their second
half pre-season games in the United States.
Madu, Oghenekaro Etebo and Daniel Akpeyi trained the rest of the team in
Atlanta, as head coach Samson Siasia perfect strategy for the
competition.
Nigeria’s Dream Team V1 will play in Group B at the Rio 2016 Olympics
with the likes of Sweden, Colombia and Japan. The team play its first
game against Japan U-23 team on August 5.
