Oriental Derby: Heartland, Enyimba Battle For Supremacy

It will be an exciting Sunday in the Nigeria Professional Football League as Heartland FC welcome Enyimba FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in an Oriental Derby, with both teams targeting the maximum points.
The relegation battling Naze Millionaires sit 18th on the log with 26 points from 24 matches and have struggled to make their home ground a fortress for visiting teams.
With one win in their last five matches in the league, the host lost 2-0 a fortnight ago and will be seeking to overcome the People’s Elephants, who are aiming to retain the league title.
However, Enyimba have not kicked a ball in the NPFL due to cancellation and postponement of their last three matches against Giwa, Sunshine and Ikorodu United.
The last involvement in the league saw the team hammered El Kanemi Warriors 2-0 and will be hoping to replicate such form against Heartland FC. On record, Enyimba have won three lost two and drawn two of their last seven matches against the Spartans.
Having played 1-1 in Owerri on April 27, 2016, Enyimba knows that it’s a win or nothing if they are to close the gap on runaway leaders, Enugu Rangers and Wikki Tourist.
