Kante’s Arrival Threatens Mikel’s Role At Chelsea

By Augustine Akhilomen

Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi could be set for a possible move out of Stamford Bridge after the London club completed the signing of N’Golo Kante on Saturday with a fee of 30 million pounds.
The former Lyn Oslo star who has been with Chelsea since 2006 after a great performance at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in Holland, could well have his role threatened by the arrival of the French defensive midfielder.
Besides, Mikel will battle with Nemanja Matic who also played a key role in the team’s Premier League title in  2013 under former boss, Jose Mourinho.
It is yet to be seen whether Mikel will remain at Chelsea to fight for a shirt or seek a transfer move in order to continue playing regular football.
