Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid and Manchester United as most valuable club online

FC Barcelona are the most valuable club on the web
FC Barcelona are the most valuable Sports club in the world ahead of Manchester United and Spanish rival Real Madrid, according to a study by Hookit written by Forbes magazine.
As included in Forbes Magazine, the Catalan club are the best in the business when it comes to digital and economic presence, as discovered by Hookit, Barça posses a digital worth of $25 million and has the most interaction with fans worldwide.
Forbes explained in the article that Barça topped all three categories of the ranking. It stated that Barça are the club with the highest number of followers on social media with their promotion of campaigns using hashtags, mentions, engagement and brand image. This outstanding social media presence is worth $25.3 million, an amount that beats that of any other club.
The study revealed that FC Barcelona have approximately 148 million fans across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and more than 200 million fans if other social media platforms are included.
The study also reveals that the club has over 1.45 billion social media interactions with fans, more than double of what second placed Real Madrid could boast of.
Spanish giants Real Madrid come second on the list with English club Manchester United in third spot. Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich complete the top six of which all are European football clubs. Manchester City are the 7th team in the top 10 on 9th position behind Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. Cleveland Cavaliers complete the top 10.
