Napoli tell Valencia to make improved Albiol bid

Italian club Napoli have rejected a bid from Valencia to buy defender Raul Albiol from the club, insisting they should make a better offer if they are to get the man to move to the Mestalla.

Valencia are keen in signing the 30-year old Spanish central defender and offered a bid of €6 million for his services but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wasn’t impressed and will exercise patience to see if the Spanish club will increase their next bid.

Raul Albiol is familiar with Spanish football having joined Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013. The defender wants to return to Valencia this summer, a club which he played for during his youth days, coming through their academy ranks.

Reports has it that Napoli are interested in signing Valencia defender Mustafi and it might lead to a swap deal between both clubs.
