MFM FC crash out of Federation Cup

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Mountain of Fire
and Miracles (MFM) FC became the latest casualty in the Federation Cup
as they lost 1-0 against Katsina United FC, crashing out in the round of
32 of the competition.

Katsina United got the only through Ibrahim Suleiman in the 54th
minute, to send the Olukoya Boys out of the competition in a dramatic
fashion on Wednesday. Another NPFL side, Enugu Rangers FC defeated
Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC 1-0 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in
Bauchi.

Defending champion, Akwa United scaled through Kwara United hurdles,
as they defeated the Ilorin based-club with slim 1-0 victory to book
their passage to the next round of the competition.

The competition is living to its billing, as giant killers’
competition. But MFM FC joined the likes of Kano Pillars and Niger
Tornadoes, the two NPFL side that recently crashed of the tournament,
after losing to Prime FC and Crown FC of Ogbomosho respectively.
