Flying Eagles Beat Dream Team VI 4-3 In A Friendly Match

By Augustine Akhilomen

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Dream Team VI 4-3 in an exciting match played at the Abuja National Stadium on Saturday.

Goals from Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Oshimen and Orji Okonkwo’s brace was
enough to give coach Emmanuel Amunike a comfortable win over U-23 coach
coach Samson Siasia.

Okonkwo gave the Flying Eagles an early lead in the 10th minute before
Godwin Saviour equalised for the U-23 side in the 27th minute.

However, Okonkwo restored the team’s lead in the 35th minute before
Chukwueze made it three in the 40th minute to the delight of the coach.

Thinking all was over, Etebo Oghenekaro reduced the score line to 3-2 in
the 56th minute but Osimehn continued his fine goal scoring form when
he made it 4-2 for the Flying Eagles before Shehu Abdullahi’s 73rd
minutes goal ended the encounter 4-3.

It was the second time the team will be defeating the Dream Team in
friendly match after winning the first one in April this year.
