Bassey Assures NFF Will Announce New Eagles Coach Next Week

By Augustine Akhilomen
A member of the Nigeria Football Federation technical
committee, Paul Bassey has revealed that a thorough assessment of the
foreign coaches that applied for the Super Eagles job would be done
before the announcement next week.
Bassey questioned the decision of the sports minister,
Solomon Dalung over his interference in the hiring of a foreign coach
and said that the football house will not go back on their quest to
appoint a substantive coach for the team.
He also revealed that the technical committee are prepared
to scrutinise and ensured the best coach is selected for the senior
national team.
Having been drawn with Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia for the
2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Bassey notes that earnest preparation
would help the team overcome their World Cup worries.
