Barcelona interested in signing Palmeiras forward Gabriel Jesus

FC Barcelona want to sign Palmeiras forward Gabriel Jesus – SPORT
FC Barcelona are interested in signing Palmeiras 19-year-old forward Gabriel Jesus and have joined the likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus in the chase for the player.
According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, the Azulgranas have joined the race for the forward and his transfer would cost less than €20 million but might increase due to the number of clubs interested.
The player has a release clause of €40 million but is lowered to €24 million for five clubs: FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester United.
The agent of Gabriel stated earlier that there are interests from Bayern Munich and Juventus although no official offer has been made. SPORT report that the transfer would be very complicated as the player’s European representative Giovanni Branchini is not in the best tune with the club and that Juventus have made an offer of €20 million.
There are also a host of clubs interested in the player aside from Bayern Munich who has sent representative Michael Reschke to watch the player in action in Brazil. Newly promoted German big money club Redbull Leipzig are also interested in signing the player with Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid also believed to have sent scouts to watch the player.
Barça’s interest in the player comes as no surprise as it is the latest trend of the Catalan Giant to snap up Under-20 Brazilian talents as they look to prepare for the future.
