He was then sent on loan to Sevilla where he spent one season, winning the Europa League before his loan deal got terminated which saw him move to Villarreal last summer.

He had a wonderful 2015/2016 season with the Yellow Submarines scoring 5 goals and creating 11 which pleased FC Barcelona and the club have announced on their website that they will try and bring back the player on July 1 from Villarreal paying €3.5M as rumoured.

Denis Suarez, 22, is an attacking midfielder who can also play on the wing. He made his Spain debut this year and will be a key addition to Barça’s team if the deal goes through.
