The Fennecs of Algeria captain Sofiane Feghouli, has stated that he
is confident his side will progress from a difficult World Cup group
with the help of the Algeria people.
Africa’s no. 1 ranked team Algeria were drawn in Group B alongside
Nigeria, Cameroon and Zambia with qualifiers expected to run from
October 2016 to November 2017. Speaking on the draw, Feghouli said: “We
are in a difficult group but with the people of Algeria totally behind
us, and or quality and commitment, we have all the chances of clinching a
historic third successive World Cup ticket.”
Feghouli who recently completed a move to London club West Ham from
Valencia, made his debut for the Algerian national team on 29 February
2012, in a 2–1 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win against Gambia,
scoring the winning goal. During qualification for the 2014 FIFA World
