Enyeama, who was beaten by Steve Mandada of Olympique de Marseille to win the FFWAwards Goalkeeper of the season, was named in the team of the season alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Angel DiMaria both of Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Alexandre Lacazette and Samuel Umtiti of Lyon, Hatem Ben Arfa and Vincent Kozhiello of OGC Nice, Lassana Diarra of Olympique Marseille, among others.
The former Enyimba International goalkeeper retired from national team football October last year, following his face-off with former coach Sunday Oliseh, and has since focused on club career with OGC Lille Metropole in the French Ligue 1. The 33-year-old former Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper has 101 caps (most capped Nigerian player) for Nigeria before quitting the national team.
