Spanish giants Real Madrid maintained their number one position as World’s most valuable football team. According to Forbes, Los Blancos experienced an increase from their last year number and are still first place above arch rivals FC Barcelona, Manchester United and German powerhouse Bayern Munich.
Business publication Forbes released their 13th annual list, which confirms Champions League finalists Real Madrid as the World’s most valuable football team with a worth of $3.65 billion, an increase on their $3.26bn from last year’s list. The 10-time European Cup winners are just a step above rivals FC Barcelona who are in second spot with a value of $3.56bn, while Premier League side and current top 4 battlers Manchester United maintain third place with a value of $3.32bn. German champions Bayern Munich stay fourth with their worth now up to £2.68bn, while Arsenal who were seventh in the last list rose two places up to complete the top 5 after their value almost doubled from$1.31bn up to$2.02bn over the last year.The top 10 was dominated by English teams with Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool all occupying the 6th, 7th and 8th spot with values of $1.92bn,$1.66bn and $1.55bn respectively.
