The imminent signing of Jose Mourinho as Manchester
United’s new manager may be followed by the capture of Zlatan
Ibrahimovic on Thursday.
The 34-year-old is a free transfer after he left Paris Saint German as a free agent.
The big Swede has huge admiration for Mourinho – who he played under
at Inter Milan and the Portuguese shares the same mutual feeling.
Ibrahimovic was unwilling to join the Red Devils while Van Gaal was
in charge but he wants to play in the Premier League before he retires
and Mourinho wants him to lead Manchester United’s attack.
Ibrahimovic was recently quoted on Mourinho: “Jose will be a success anywhere he coaches, that is just the man he is.
“I respect him because he says whatever he wants, but when you listen to him what he says is always right.
“Of course he is a coach that has much knowledge, but it is more than that, he also really cares.
“That is why players who play for him are ready to die for him. He cares, so you care.”
The Red Devils are set to complete a deal to see Jose Mourinho
replace sacked Louis van Gaal and it could be followed by the
announcement of Ibrahimovic’s arrival in the next 48 hours after he
agreed a one-year deal at Old Trafford.
