Anichebe to quit West Brom

Estranged Super Eagles striker, Victor Anichebe has confirmed he will be leaving West Bromwich Albion next month when his contract expires.

Anichebe’s contract expires in June with the Baggies and the striker revealed he is not willing to renew his contract, following his erratic season in the Premier League in the ended season. The club is yet to issue any official statement on the issue, but the 28-year-old striker revealed his decision on twitter, claiming he is quitting the club.

“Thank you to all the @WBAFCofficial fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future. God bless,” Anichebe wrote on twitter.

Anichebe joined West Bromwich Albion on September 2 2013 from Everton, in a deal which was worth £6 million. On February 2, 2014, Anichebe scored his second league goal against Liverpool to earn West Brom a point.
