Harry Kane, Dele Alli hit double brace as Spurs track Leicester

By: Oderah
With Leicester city slipping up in a controversial game against West Ham, Spurs looked set to cut the gap on the league leaders. And sure enough spurs took the game to stoke from the start with their high pressing game, you would have thought they were the home team and sure enough in the 9th minute all the pressure paid off as Moussa Dembele slipped in Harry Kane on the edge of the box, he cut inside and unleashed a wonderful curling effort to beat Shay Given.
Spurs should have added a second when Christian Eriksen was played in by Dele Alli but he was only able to c rash his shot against the crossbar. Stoke rarely threatened as Eric DIer was excellent in that role sitting in front of the two center backs they had a half chance that fell to Marko Arnautovic which Lloris was able to save
Stoke started the second half with more purpose, Shaqiri was replaced by Joselu with Bojan moving to the left  allowing Stoke to go long to the big striker but even the switch in formation was not enough to hold spurs back.
Dele Alli put them two up chipping Given from a delightful pass from Eriksen, he had the chance to get his brace after rounding Given but was only able to hit the post with his shot. Spurs didn’t have to wait to long for their third of the night, Harry Kane tapping into an empty net from Lamela’s pass. Alli finally got his brace and spurs fourth volleying home from inside the box
Stoke had a chance to score a consolation goal but Joselu was unable to get any power in his shot, Spurs put on one of their best performances of the season and were miles ahead of Stoke throughout the game and fully deserved their 0-4 victory
