Newly signed Bristol City FC forward, Peter Osaze Odemwingie made his debut for his new club in the Championship in their 2-1 victory to Fulham FC on Saturday.
Osaze came on as second half substitute for French-Ivorian forward, Jonathan Kodjia in the 46th minute. The 34-year-old Nigerian winger recently joined Bristol City on loan from Premier League club Stoke City for the rest of the season.
Scottish forward, Ross McCormack opened scoring for Fulham in the 3rd minute, Marlon Pack equalized for Bristol in the 69 minute, while English forward, Lee Tomlin scored the match-winner for The Robins on the stroke of 90 minutes; as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Bristol.
Osaze made his City debut in place of Jonathan Kodjia, while Bobby Reid replaced Luke Freeman as Johnson switched from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1, with Odemwingie wide on the left.
With Odemwingie to his left, he used the forward as a decoy and instead turned inside and picked out the bottom corner with a precise low shot that beat Lonergan down by his right hand, sending City’s travelling army into raptures behind the goal.
