Golden Eaglets skipper Kelechi Nwakali departed the shores of the country on Tuesday night for the United Kingdom to finalise his switch to Premier League side Arsenal, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Nwakali and his representatives have agreed a five-year deal with Arsenal, having travelled to London in January to be shown around the club’s facilities with a view to penning a preliminary contract.
“Kelechi Nwakali left for the United Kingdom yesterday with his brother All well to finally seal his deal with Arsenal,” CEO ASJ Academy Emeka Amajiriaku told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Nwakali’s move to Arsenal is a done deal, a five-year deal has been agreed.”
It is understood that Diamond Academy and ASJ Academy will pocket 2.5 million pounds from the transfer of Kelechi Nwakali to Arsenal.
