Mexican Club Tigres To Sack Ikechukwu Uche

Mexican champions, Tigres UANL is preparing to do away with Nigerian striker, Ikechukwu Uche as they get set for the new Liga MX season in Mexico.

According to statement on the club’s website, Ike Uche is already blacklisted with the arrival of South American Zelarayán Lucas and Fernando Fernandez, which from all indication is another strategy to edge out the Nigerian player from the club.

The information was confirmed when Tigres submitted its official list of players for the 2016 season, and Uche’s name was missing on the list. The major reason that necessitated the action was because the former Real Zaragoza forward has not been seen in training.

The 32-year-old Nigerian striker played only one match in the whole season, where he scored a goal for the club. Uche signed with Mexican side Tigres UANL On 20 June 2015, from Spanish side Villarreal CF for €3.5 on a three year contract.
