Nigerian-born England midfielder Dele Alli has signed a new five-year deal with North London club Tottenham until 2021 after making an impressive start in his new career with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Dele Alli joined Tottenham from MK Dons in January 2015 in a £5m deal and was loaned back until the end of the season. He however broke into the side and has made 26 appearances netting five times thereby earning a call-up to Roy Hodgson’s England side last year.
Speaking on the new deal, Dele Alli said: “I am obviously delighted, the club have really been great with me since I have come here and we have agreat young team and I can see us going forward and I am happy to be here.”
The 19-year-old’s previous contract was worth £10,000-a-week but his sparkling performances have seen his contract more than double to £25,000-a-week.
