The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has warned agents and scouts lobbying for contacts for members of the Nigerian U-17 side Golden Eaglets to keep off.
According to SportingLife, the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, posited that he will not issue International Transfer Certificate (ITC) to any player of the Golden Eaglets that won the FIFA U17 world cup in Chile, or any player in the age-grade teams, The Nation reports.
The former Delta state sports chairman explained that the Eaglets and other players in the age-grade category are properties of the federal government.
Pinnick said that the boys would not have become cash cows if they were not exposed to the world through international competition, representing the country.
The NFF president insisted that the football body would monitor movements of each player in line with FIFA statutes saying that it would enable the proceeds from players transfer are given to their parents not these shylock scouts and agents masquerading as the players’ contacts.
