Kennedy Boboye joins Abia Warriors

The Umuahia based side has announced the appointment of the former Sunshine stars coach to the helm of coaching affairs.
Coach Boboye had been without a job since he resigned from his post just two after the Akure Gunners failed to grab a CAF Confederation Cup ticket following their 0-0 draw against champions Enyimba in the last league game of the season.
The draw condemned Sunshine Stars, who had been title contenders for most of the season, to 6th on the table despite going into the final round of matches perched on fourth and with a continental slot within grasp.
While in charge of the Akure based outfit, Kennedy Boboye recorded over 30 wins, six draws and only 14 defeats. He will replace Coach Ladan Bosso at the Eastern outfit.
Abia Warriors FC who until 2010 was known and referred to has Orji Uzor Kalu FC gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier League for the first time in August 2013 and finished 10th in the just concluded NPFL season, 4 places and 8 points below the Akure giants.
