Besiktas Takes a Step Further In Mikel’s Chase

Besiktas are attempting to seal the transfer of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, according to reports.

The Turkish league leaders are keen to add to their squad as they eye a return to the Champions League.

And Mikel, 28, has emerged as one of their top targets.

Jose Mourinho and Roman Abramovich are both willing to let him leave providing that Besiktas meet their asking price,according to Fichajes.

Mikel has been at the club for the best part of a decade but now may be the time to move on.
