The player’s Father has made it clear that his son and client will not join any other club in the nearest future and will stay at Barça for many more years
FC Barcelona and Brazil star Neymar Jr will remain at Barça for ‘a very long time’, the player’s father confirmed without any doubt.
Speaking in an interview with Cuatro, Neymar Sr, father and agent of Neymar Jr dismissed claims that his son will leave Barcelona in the nearest future with a move to the English Premier League.
The English media suggested that Neymar had always fancied a move to an English side and is a big fan of the EPL and will like to move on but the player’s father said it in a public interview that his son is staying at Camp Nou with 100% certainty.
“People can be relaxed,” Neymar’s father said to Cuatro after being questioned on the situation of his son’s future.
“Neymar will surely spend many more years at Barca. We don’t need to reach an agreement for renewal now because we already have three more years left and it’s not that necessary to sign a new deal,” he said.
Neymar was linked with a move to English side Manchester United during the summer transfer window after the English media and some Brazilian source (Globo Esporte) reported that the Red Devils are poised to splash more than €190 million for his signature.
Neymar had previously dismissed claims of him considering to leave Catalonia and his father has just ended the rumour. Barcelona are currently preparing to renew his contract with the club for an extra two years.
