Dream Team, Super Falcons Crash Out Of All African Games

Nigeria Under 23s lost 3 – 1 to Burkina Faso in the semi – final of the All – Africa Games on Tuesday evening and will now contest the bronze medal match against hosts Congo in two days time.

Burkina Faso opened the scoring after 11 minutes thanks to Sydney Mohamed Sylla and the scoreboard was reading 1 – 0 at the end of the first half.

In the 73rd minute, Omar Kabore fired past Daniel Emmanuel for Burkina Faso’s second goal but bereaved Daniel Etor, who was introduced in the 69th minute, pulled a goal back for the Dream Team 15 minutes from time to set up a frantic finish.

As the Nigerians pushed for an equalizer, they left spaces at the back and this was exploited bySydney Mohamed Sylla, who scored his second goal in the 78th minute.
