Chelsea Loanee Down With Hamstring Injury

Chika Akujobi, the intermediary that handles the affairs of Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo, has played down fears that his client suffered a serious injury in Monday night’s Turkish Super Lig clash against Rizespor.

The Nigeria international had to make way for Vasil Bozhikov nine minutes into the tie at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu (İstanbul) after he suffered a minor hamstring complaint, according to the Dutch – based agent.

“ I spoke to Kenneth immediately after the game, he has a normal hamstring problem,” Chika Akujobi told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“I don’t think it’s a bad injury someone can be afraid of. If you make a wrong move even while walking you can pull your hamstring.”

It will be a big blow to Kasimpasa head coach Riza çalımbay if Kenneth Omeruo is not available for selection in his side’s next game in the Super Lig against Samuel Eto’o’s Antalyaspor, with the stopper helping the team keep three cleansheets in five games prior to the contest against Rizespor.

On top of that, the 21 – year – old has been called – up by Sunday Oliseh for the friendlies against Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon.
