Real Madrid’s Lucas Silva has joined Olympique Marseille on a season long loan after failing to break into Real Madrid’s first team in his first season at the Brenabeu and his development slowed down.

Rafa Benitez has been quick about his disposals as the Spaniard is looking to quickly move all players he considers surplus to his requirements away as soon as possible. Lucas Silva joined Real Madrid from Cruzeiro in January but failed to compete with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric for a starting position in Real Madrid. Marseille who are looking to force their way back to the top of the Ligue 1 have made a quick move for the midfielder and Real Madrid agreed a deal which would see him play for Marseille until 2016.[post_ad]
Either Illaramendi or Casemiro would be on their way out before the end of the transfer window as Real Madrid look to move into the season without much dead weight
