Arsenal Loanee Chuba Akpom Marks Hull City Debut With a Goal



In his maiden appearance for Hull City in a competitive fixture, Arsenal loanee Chuba Akpom scored his first professional goal in The Tigers 2 – 0 win over Huddersfield Town in the English Championship.
The England youth – teamer made sure the three points were safe in the bag after scoring in the 71st minute to give Hull City a two – goal advantage.
In his post match comments, Akpom was happy to score on his debut and has now set his sights on the Capital Cup clash against Accrington Stanley this coming Tuesday.
The 19 – year – old tweeted : “Solid 2-0 win today , buzzing to get a goal on my debut , fans were amazing , onto the next game @HullCity #ak .”
Chuba Akpom did not score in official matches while on loan at Coventry City, Nottingham Forest and Brentford while he is yet to get off the mark for Arsenal in a competitive game.
The attacker lasted 83 minutes on the pitch while teammate Sone Aluko subbed on 20 minutes out of intermission.
